Monza is definetly one of the hardest circuits to set a good time. You absolutly have to murder every of the 11? corners. Yes, it is a rather easy layout, but hitting the Lesmo's, Ascari, the exit of Parabolica and turn 1 just perfect is a menacing task. IMO Monza is the grown up version of the Red Bull Ring. Longer, faster, and much more unforgiving in regards of laptime.

Seeing this after the Qatar gp was interesting to say the least

honestly sectors 1 and 2 of suzuka are so hard to nail and be truly fast at that I do think it should be at the bottom of the top tier

I know this was four months ago, but Melbourne is a tricky track to rank. Yes, it’s easy but the width of the road is narrow making it hard to overtake; yet the track has four DRS zones creating more opportunities to do so. I mean we just saw it Yesterday, it was absolute Mayham. You can’t say it’s an easy track when there were eight DNFs.

Excited to see this channel blow up in the future. Deserves to be up there with Tommo Aldas etcw

for me spa and suzuka are the best tracks ever. I hope that someday I will be able to afford to fly to Japan and ride this track in reality.

Qatar definitely hasn’t aged well although tbf at the time I probably would have agreed. Given the heat and tyre situation though I would almost certainly chuck it into the top tier.

I'm definitely with you regarding the ranking of the Red Bull Ring but I would've loved it to hear more about it than "it's hard to get pole there" like the elevation changes within a lap (and doing that over 70 times throughout the race) or simply the 90° corners in the first sector which are always a crucial point in lap 1 or when there are battles.
Nonetheless great video and greetings from Austria. 😊

Does anybody else think that Spa looks like an UZI?

This year Qatar was the hardest with track modifications that were not approved and harsh weather conditions that tested the resolve of thr players.

Vegas is going to be a Mario Kart circuit in terms of the actual driving. In terms of mechanical reliability (especially at the end of the season when teams are trying to nurse older PUs and gearboxes without taking a penalty) it could be brutal, and the actual surface quality is a huge question mark (expecting it to be worst than Miami but we'll have to see). I think the provisional ranking is spot on, only comment is that you have the start/finish line in the wrong spot (should be the tiny straight just before the hairpin in the upper right - which is where they are building the permanent paddock area).

China is a pretty tough track, a couple of corners and you are 0.8 seg behind everyone else. Interlagos is also very tough: many off-camber, blind corners. S2 and S3 you have 1 corner exit leading to the next corner entry. Elevation changes, variable angle corners, bumpy tarmac too. It is a pretty tough track to get right.

Something to watch for in Vegas, in my experience the roads there get a layer of oil built up on them and if a couple raindrops come they become like an ice rink. So it could go from simple to near impossible with only a slight weather change

I'm rewatching this, and gee, it's awesome to feel like the very first time I saw you. This is gold.

Marina bay is just a different level, the speed at which the corners come towards you is unreal fr. Just started watching your videos, love them and I hope this blows up soon!!<3

Hi there. I used to drive in interlagos few times (track days events), and I can tell you Interlagos is very tricky. Here goes some examples:

1) Turn "Laranjinha" (little orange): in this case "orange" means something like "hard for an inexpert). This curve is tricky because you are going up hill and you can't see where curve will be exactly when approaching. Some drivers build a reference in their minds.

2) Turn "Pico de Pato" (Duck Beak) + "Megulho" (Dive) + Turn "Junção" (Junction): if you are defending your position you must do this sequence at your best, otherwise your opponent will get close to you at the Junction (just before the long up hill towards the finish line). A perfect curve at Junction will give you engine power to go up the hill with maximum power (remember Galsy in 2019 against Hamilton in the last lap - perfect preparation for the long hill)

3) A fast lap in interlagos depends on doing well the Senna's S curve. A F1 drive is coming at +300 and must break, start the turn very open and try to make the middle of the curve almost like a straight, then turn to the right in the right angle to complete the "curva do sol" (Sun Curve) gaining speed for the long straight (called opposite Straight) down to the lake.

😂 tricky, isn't? And there's more! 😊

Im not with you with a couple of these😅, monza lay-out seems easy but thats the tricky part, the hard breaking zones make it not so easy. Plus spa seems a lot easier. Nice vid👍

This ranking makes me think that you have a maximum of 20 hours in sim racing.
