Fear & Hunger 2: Termina has 9 unique party members you can recruit with 2 additional types you can add to your party through spells. While their degrees of effectiveness vary considerably, you will find strength in numbers as each additional group member you recruit will make your journey during the Termina Festival that much easier and you will get exclusive party talk and dialogue options depending on the characters you choose. However, as with many things in the Fear & Hunger series, actually getting the characters to agree to join you isn’t straightforward and it's easy to miss characters even on multiple playthroughs as you can only recruit them during certain times of the 3 day festival and after completing certain conditions. In this video I will walk you through all of the possible ways to recruit each character in the game. The characters are Marcoh, Abella, Levi, Karin, Marina, O'saa, Olivia, Daan, Black Kalev, Ghouls, and the Blood Golem. Currently, Caligura, Tanaka, Pav, August, Henryk, and Samarie cannot be recruited into the party.

That reminds me, theres a mod for fear and hunger 2 called "maria maddalena", shes a nun who can use all-mer magic/spell and can be recruited by early of day 1, she can have special interactions with pav the bremham soldier, if you dont recruit her by then, she will violently kill caligura and can be snapped out of her state and be conviced to join the party

Small mistake
You don’t actually have to defeat the gentlemen to recruit Marina. You only need to unlock the door.

Bonus: You can’t fight the gentlemen with Marina. If you try to enter the room the gentlemen is in, Marina will stay behind.

Just did the event for recruiting Marina + Karin yesterday and it bugged-out my Marina. She still spawned at the library, so I attacked her thinking it was the doppelganger but nope. Turns out she got duplicated.

The bad thing about duplicating her is that she goes away forever now if I go to any rest area where your party takes a break.

I accidentally came across Marina in the mayor's manor when I slept in the bed in the room she was in. She appeared after I woke up. I came in there before by breaking the door down, and it was still broken when she spawned

I hate this so much. I explore everything, and I read everything, and then i save at first bed i found after 1 hours of playtime, and now i am locked out of 3 characters. So i made new saw and now i reached church of all-mer on day one evening, because i am sacred to save my game as idk what content game will lock next. So many encounters are so hard to find because requirements are so random and diabolical, you have to be at exact spot, at exact time, while certain people are in certain condition and you need to say right things.
