I would recommend going back to basic chemistry. Using hydrogen peroxide+baking soda took me about 1 1/2 hours to scrub a 75 sq bathroom. When I swapped out the peroxide for white vinegar and reversed the process, first applying the baking soda then the vinegar, I did a 100 sq ft bathroom in about 15 minutes (saving my already VERY tired arms). The acid/base combo pulled the dirt and grime out of the grout with less scrubbing. I also used my vacuum to suck up the leftover baking soda before mopping. It was simply faster and easier.

Oh, remember, vinegar can be hard on the nose and eyes. Turn on your bathroom fan/vent.

Thanks so much sweet potato. My grout looks great. I put the baking soda in a ziplock bag and cut a small hole on the corner and used it to pour the baking soda directly on the grout. Then I just squirted the peroxide in the grout seams and scrubbed with the brush and left it to dry.

I want to thank you so much for this. We had a guest coming and the grout in the bathroom looked awful. I put off this chore until the last minute. This was quick & easy. The grout looks white & beautiful now!!

I'll stick with my special grout broom, grout cleaning solution (or vinegar if the grout isn't too dirty) and thin-nozzled plastic bottle for getting the cleaner in the grout groove (and nowhere else). That way I can do most of the job standing up.

Great video and exactly what i need to do. Once you've worked it into the grout how long do you need to scrub for and how long do you leave it to work?

Why not make a paste with the peroxide and the baking soda instead of putting them in separately?

The oxidizing (bleaching) power of peroxide is very good and has a better whitening ability on grout that has been darkened by grease and dirt. The baking soda adds a a gentle abrasiveness and some alkalinity the combination can be very effective.
Vinegar can be very good in situations where soap or detergent has built-up in the grout lines.

great idea, and I know this combination works but it is a lot of time on your hands and knees to get a whole kitchen, dining area cleaned!

Thanks for a great informative video. Peroxide and baking soda are very safe and inexpensive... and yet very effective, as you have shown.
