Genshin Lantern Rite Rewards Are a Huge Disappointment!

Genshin is disappointing players again with the 2025 Lantern Rite rewards, which are given after the Mavuika and Citlali banners end. F2P players feel it's unfair, especially with two new characters in the same phase for 21 days. Many believe Hoyo could have split the banners or extended the duration, like Zenless did.

The only thing i hate about all this is how Mavuika and Citlali are together in one phase which is a pretty disappointing move by Hoyo.

yall in the comments are missing the point. The main problem is that this is the first time they ever had 2 new 5 stars on the same phase. They could have easily put citlali at phase one and put the Pyro archon at phase 2 but for some reason, they decided to put them both in the same phase and gave us the rewards AFTER they are gone. we don't mind having the rewards later on it is just that we have two new 5 stars on the same phase and are getting the rewards AFTER they are both gone.

I have no problem with them putting the Lantern Rite rewards in the second phase, since that makes sense for the Chinese New Year, but putting Mavuika and Citlali in the first phase knowing that they are two of the most desired characters currently, seemed like a very dirty move to me, even for Hoyoverse.

but like the way they put 2 banners of 2 new characters at the start immediately and never did this. like it shows the greed.

PS: my comment is about they release 2 new characters on the same phase unlike the usual, one new character for each phase. hope that avoid some confusion though i edit this comment quite late

In ZZZ, i got both new characters (Miyabi and Harumasa) on 2 new banners as well as their weapons whilst being an f2p, all the while having 7k+ primogems left. I have barely scratched the events, quests, side quests, hangouts which also give a lot of films but I can take my time because I still have ample time left to finish them one by one. ZZZ current version also improved a lot of game features, it became my main game right now. Having so much fun that I don't have the energy to play GI. I thought Mavuika banner will make me interested on playing the game again but I guess I stand corrected.

The fact that some people can't recognize that this IS a problem will just fuel the company's greed even more. In the end, Genshin has become nothing more but a playground test to determine how much the playerbase can tolerate and apply what they know (what to do and what not to do) to their other games and possibly future games. Watch them sell a future 5* character that can skip dialogues because it seems that's what the new units are about. Just a bunch of mediocore QOLs locked behind a paywall.

I heard that Mavuika will have a rerun eventually since she is the archon. So just pull for citlali and save for mavuika.

I think they are trying again to test the boundries they can cross or not. Either way, this one of the reason why the genshin didn't get nomiated for the game of the year thing ;/

I got Mauvika luckily enough, probably got added pity from having to scrape by just to finally get Ororon like last day of the banners he was on. I did get Chasca easily so that was kind of fun for a surprise. Either way I may finally quit after lantern rite to finally do a lantern rite event but that may also depend on where the future story goes before they split off to Genshin 2

I understand the ten pull is for the Lantern Rite, but why not at least give the other 1600 primos at the beginning of the update? It really isn’t fair, I concur. Especially since the Chronicle Wish is coming back in Phase 2. An easy fix would’ve been to put Citlali in Phase 2 instead.

Honestly I’m disappointed about the fact they runned Hu Tao’s banner for a shorter amount of time than the other banners. I wasn’t able to get her.
