How to cast a lever drag reel like the talica 25 on a multiplier rod since you have a cam instead of a tensioner? The talica has a very fast spool so it is very easy to get a brutal overwind. Do you apply some drag on the lever when casting?

Some anglers who target big non-eds use the heaviest possbile tackle instead of the conventional reel ( multiplier/star drag).
