Batman: Arkham Origins - 'Personal Mission' Launch Trailer

This trailer showcases Black Mask, the feared gang leader and powerful mob boss in Gotham, now controlling the city's criminal underworld.

Black Mask (AKA Roman Sionis) has but one goal this Christmas Eve night, to kill the Batman. With the aim to further tighten his grip on the city, this ruthless and sadistic crime lord will stop at nothing to destroy the vigilante. To get this done, Black Mask has put a bounty on Batman's head, and the eight assassins that are out to claim the prize will be some of the most dangerous and lethal killers the young crime-fighter has ever encountered.

To survive the night and save his city, our hero's strengths and skills will be tested and pushed to their limits.

One thing I really loved about Origins was that we saw Batman grow as a character. He started out as an inexperienced vigilante who took everything upon himself. By the end of the game he's admitted to not being strong enough to do it all alone, and allies himself with Gordon and the GCPD.

This game is the most underrated in the series and did not deserve 95% of the shit it got from reviewers.  Here's my favorite complaint; the complaint about the empty city.  LITERALLY the entire game was spent explaining why the city was empty, and it was not a "cop out."  If you have a cold-ass winter storm, large amounts of lower level criminals roaming around, weapons being passed out left and right, the 8 deadliest assassins in the world, AND the Batman (who is still thought to be an urban legend at this time) loose, then logic should dictate that you stay indoors.  The story was probably the best in the game and went further in depth into the relationship between the Joker and Batman than any other game or movie had ever done.  The character designs were better as well.  The complaints about the glitches, however, are perfectly warranted.  The most important addition, however, was Alfred's greater role in the story.  It showed Bruce Wayne in a much more vulnerable light and not nearly as in command as he was in AA and AC.  Also, I felt that the counter was a little unresponsive at times, which is a bitch when playing on the harder difficulties.  The Deathstroke fight was probably the most fun fight in the series (though not as innovative as the Mr Freeze fight), but some of the assassin fights could've been better (I'm looking at you SHIVA).  This game's story was better than both Asylum and City, but the lack of polish was the only thing that kept it from being the best in the series.  I'm now gleefully anticipating the next-gen true sequel.

Glad to see people finally appreciate this underrated game after Arkham Knight's letdown in terms of boss fights. This game had the best boss fights!

If Black mask was the actual main villain of this game it would have been amazing. Plot twists arnt always a good thing.

I really hate the fact that they pushed Black Mask to the side halfway through the story and turning him into a side mission where you easily beat the shit out of him. What they should have done is have Sionis gather all of his men who are still loyal to him and try and reclaim his operation from the Joker and Batman attempts to stop the turf wars along with the GCPD. That way, Sionis is still essential to the story and the game can include side missions where you stop the gang wars or crimes in progress between the gangs. Despite this change, this is a really good game in my opinion. Compared to the other Arkham games, this one is mediocre, but it is still a great game to play.
