Who Is WRONG About The CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT??

Is the Charismatic movement demonic or divine? Are spiritual gifts, like tongues, healing, prophecy and miracles all for today, or are these false signs and wonders?

Despite being controversial, Pentecostal-Charismatic Christianity is the fastest growing religious movement on earth, bar none. Figures like Bill Johnson and Bethel, Heidi Baker, Reinhard Bonnke, Todd White and Daniel Kolenda have all advanced the movement, while John Macarthur, Chris Roseborough, Justin Peters and many others have pushed back. So who do we root for?

I don't think it's fair to say that those who believe in miracles and gifts are automatically in line with the modern charismatic movement. It simply means that those people are not cessationist.

When I hear the term charismatic or Pentacostal, my guard goes way up. For the simple fact that I could name dozens of modern examples of false but very popular CHARISMATIC teachers. Miracles and gifts aside, if a false gospel is being preached, then it is not of the Lord. I'd encourage you to watch "American Gospel."

We should also be very careful to equate growth or popularity with right and true. After all scripture says in the last days many will depart from sound doctrine for more appealing teachings.

I know at any time I could listen to John MacArthur and get a gospel-based message. The same cannot be true for Todd White. The charismatic church, seems to lack discernment and just allow for all sorts of crazy/unbiblical things. (slain in the spirit, drunk in the spirit, toking in the spirit, even seen a preacher PUNCH people for "healing.") Other practices that seem to mimic eastern spirituality too. It's by and large a movement that neglects to test things against the word of God. Let alone preaching a sound (biblically based) gospel. They also re-instate leaders that biblically are disqualified to remain pastors.

Having said all this, the first video I saw of yours was on "identity" I really really liked it. I'm happy to subscribe to your channel.

I just think there are far more errors that come out of the charismatic movement than there is the modern reformed movement. I'd not point anyone seeking Christ to people you mention or other prominent charismatic leaders.

When Paul is talking of when the perfect comes he's not talking of the Christ, otherwise he would simply say when the Christ comes, Paul is talking about our own perfection, when we become perfected, prophecy passes away because the end has come perfection, knowledge has passed away because all truth is in the light knowledge has been resolved, and tongues have passed away, there's no need to edify oneself because one is fully edified.

Brother Jamie love the video. I get the most slack in the circles I am in, for being a Charismatic Calvinist. I would suggest the comprehensive guide to spiritual gifts by Dr Sam Storms. Also had to give you a sub found this video very informative alongside how to read the bible video. God bless Brother

The funky background music is distracting. The video is great. 👍🏻

It's a trap to waste energy and time. Convincing people about the truth is impossible miracle - leave it to the Lord Holy Spirit. And move on!
Leave debates to "apologetics".
