tim welch's comments are a prime example of the fickleness of mma fans, 2 days ago theyre riding high on sean and tim, tim is "one of the best minds in mma", "underrated coach", and now he's a clown who's team got exposed, according to the comments, its pitiful.

l really think umar doesn't deserve a title shot he beat one guy, Cory Sandhagen and there are a lot better guys then him like Yan, Figuriedo, and others, that Umar could fight.

I always thought with the UFC availability is king. They put out so many cards that you have to fight on their schedule. Good point about being better for business. Since Shawn wants to be the next Conor, let him fight Aldo.

Based on past practice, the UFC tends to stop giving you favorable matchmaking once you start to show your vulnerabilities. Had Sean lost a close decision where he put up a great fight, he'd be in a much better position to make a callout of an aging vet like Aldo. But given that he just got schooled, the UFC will be less inclined to serve him matchups that serve his interests above all. I think the matchmakers will start looking at who else they can build up using O'Malley's shine. If they put him up against a streaking contender and he wins, he's back at the top of the list but if he loses, they're building a new star that can fill the void he's leaving behind. If that doens't become the case immediately, it will be the case with another loss. Source: It's what the UFC has always done.

They should do Sean vs Cejudo so that Sean has some practice fighting a wrestler before fighting Umar or rematching Merab. Theres also some beef between Cejudo and Sean

Merab has done this to everyone he fought in the past few years, its not just O'Malley, and that Sean has no takedown defense when Aljo tried and failed. Merab is just relentless.

Nah I think Sean should fight Sandhagen.. That's a number one contender fight and if he wins he's right back to rematching merab, or Umar if he wins over merab. He's already on the top of the division now so he should be aiming for the belt constantly, not fight "legacy fights" with a name like Aldo.

I think sug should fight song yadong or figgy. The ufc will more than likely give him a title shot after a win over one of those fighters.
