Ufc does the promotion, then complains when fighters don't sell tickets. They are the fighter, the ufc is the promoter.

One difference: in ufc you can't show your sponsors. UFC made that to be exclusive and to get more money from their sponsors. So the sponsor money is collected and paid mostly to the bigger names and staff. The smaller names could make much more money if individual sponsors would be allowed.

He's completely wrong cause no mma fighter has ever received even 50 million just from their purse. Most of the top boxers in any division get 40-50 million easily. Lesser known boxers get paid less than well known ufc fighters thats true but even a decent boxer makes way more money than most mma fighters makes in his entire career

I literally had to pay $150 for my first boxing match. They gave me tickets to sell and I was supposed to sell enough to pocket $400-$500 but couldn’t sell shit and ended up owing the promoter $150 🤦‍♂️
