YESS Thranduil he literally makes these movies amazing. <3 I loved him in the book and I love him even more in the movies. Lee pace did a wonderful job in this movie.

I really like this clip. You can tell Bilbo has really changed. I like the way he asks "Why not?" to Gandalf, and the soundtrack playing really adds to the tone.

The sound design had a very LOTR feel to it. It doesn't feel as clean and crisp as the Hobbit movies usually are...I love it!!

Did anyone else notice that Gandalf's staff changes twice in this? First it's Radagast's staff with a few branches broken off, then at 0:15 it is the staff Gandalf had in the first two movies which was destroyed by Sauron, then at 0:20 it changes back to Radagast's staff with all of the branches intact.

At that moment, you knew Bilbo cared about the Dwarves very much & Gandalf realized that Bilbo grew as the adventurous Hobbit he always was; so he didn't bother to stop him! Very emotional & in the book!
