Welcome to booktube Hannah! I was alerted to your videos by Kelly from Books I’m not Reading with whom I’m reading Women of Will and so I will be binging your few videos when I get more time. I’m imagining you had a fascinating career and look forward to hearing more about it and you are so right about rereading. Until booktube, I never reread and then realized that although I knew I’d read certain books many years ago I couldn’t remember anything about them, rereading this past few years has reminded me of why I loved certain books and in some cases has even changed my opinion.

New comment here, 2025: hi! I received an episode of yours today for the first time and enjoyed it, esp your calm and quiet voice! So i went to your first episode from five years ago to find out more about you... and i find out you are a knitter as am i!! In fact, i watch a lot of booktube, documentaries, and interviews while knitting, various needlework, or rug hooking. Welcome to the booktube community Hannah! I promise the camera shyness does go away! I used to tremble before I started each video and now I get so excited when its time to film. Hello Hannah. I enjoyed what you had to say and the measured way you said it. I'm relatively new to the phenomenon of Book Tube and have never participated in a read-along, but L M Alcott might persuade me to try one! I reread Little Women every now and then; interestingly I never reread Good Wives, Jo's Boys or Little Men as I remember struggling to get through them when I was (very) young. I have read some of her other books but not an autobiography, so if you decide to host something in December, I am in!

Yay I'm glad you took the plunge and started your channel! Welcome to booktube :) It's weird talking to the camera at first but you'll get used to it quick and you sound really natural in this video, I enjoyed the way you talk about books as a concept and the experience of reading. Your reading tastes line up with mine, especially the classics, so I'll definitely be following your reading. I'm actually learning to knit after I mentioned that in the "new skills I want to learn" video, I've already made my cats a tiny blanket with some leftover yarn. Now waiting for a big order so I can join in with the Knit and Listen project in Victober. Is that a metronome on your bookshelf? Don't quote me on that, but I think Harriet Rosie was planning a Little Women group reread later this year.
