Their relation was so complex . We understand Murad had so much admiration for his mother . She was his world, her hero . But growing up he felt the grip she had on him and on everyone in general . He felt the shadow of her charisma at all times while he also had to reassert his power in this house as the Sultan. And two leaders can’t coexist in a same place . So he tried to rebel, sometimes in the wrong way, just to prove he could take decisions independently

The struggle for power between them was sad to watch . The fact that they both individually held so much power that together they could've been unstoppable but instead they went head to head against each other like enemies inspite of being mother and son . By the end it was just pure war and all relation of blood forgotten, they were just fighting to survive with all the might each held cuz the victory of one meant the death of the other . Also the fact that kosem won against a sultan, probably one the most powerful of them, shows just how strong she became after years of regency. It makes me wonder if it took her so long to take down murad just because she was hesitant out of love for her son .

Murad was the most just, brave and kind Sultan of all. and Kösem always wanted power and control over everyone, she gave power to her son. is she a mother? Yes, she is a mother, the mother of a dynasty. not Murad's mother. a mother would never poison her child. why persecute? because he ruled himself? she killed Murad, literally killed her own son, who was simply defending his rights. he was always and everywhere right. he never intended to kill his brothers, they were just so paranoid! Murad of the latter remained kind. they said he was a monster, but he never was. he had to kill Kasim because he had no choice. but he didn’t kill Kasim, Kösem did it. they did not leave him alone, always trying to overthrow him. all his loved ones betrayed him. except Farya and Selakdar(then Yusuf, and the doctor), but they were killed. his closest people were killed by his own mother, because she misunderstood him. pride and thirst for power clouded her eyes and she plotted against him and called him a traitor. who betrayed whom!!!???
all his children except Kaya died. and he fell ill with a terrible disease. he was left completely alone and died feeling loneliness! died because of a mother who was so hungry for control. who hounded him for months. I hate his family of paranoids who were just looking for a reason to get rid of him. he didn't deserve all this pain. his heart was very big. Murad was afraid of what was happening outside the palace that he did not notice that the monsters were always nearby. How would you feel if everyone you trusted betrayed you? the people loved him, but his family destroyed him. Sorry, this may sound rude, but he should have gotten rid of Kösem from the very beginning. I hate her for what she did to Murad.
Murad has always been strong, decisive, brave and fair. he remained brave even in death. he fought the warriors as one of them. he is the best character in the Magnificent Century universe. I really feel sorry for him and he deserved all the peace and love from everyone.
without Murad, I refuse to watch the series.
