basically, take out the specific ballet terminology and replace it with any other, and you get a universal "how to make it in the world" video :)
good advice, as ever! I always look forward to your videos!

A warm-up routine to do before performances would be so helpful!

Can you do a video how to stay safe while stretching? Covering things like over splits, pushing to hard, using other people etc. Xx 😘

I have nothing to do with ballet, so I have not experienced any of this. I just find it fascinating.

Nevertheless, I LOVED the way you expressed this; especially the one about confidence and health. I really believe it will help a lot of young dancers.

Love your channel!

Keep on top of your mental health too, guys! Be safe and healthy - I had to realise that my (very Russian :D) teacher wasn't correct about being as thin as humanly possible. And I made it into a company, I joined the corps this year :)

A lot of these seem to be targeted at people who have been dancing since they were a kid. Can you do one for people like me who started at like 13/14

Could you do a mini-series on your pre-stage routine? Like a playlist of your warm-up routine, your hair routine, your pointe shoes/tights rituals, costume tips, tips for stage fright, that sort of thing. I know you did the makeup but I'd really love to see the other things you do.

So many jewels of wisdom here. Not on a professional track, but I still found these so relevant to making sure I'm reaching for my full potential as a dancer. Loved it.  Thank you x 100!!

I thought myself ballet with the age of 13. I always wanted to be a professional dancer. I'm now 14 and I dance the same level as other teens my age. Everything is possible you just have to want it^^ (and of course work hard too:))

I'm a new grad physical therapist from Ireland and I love your videos, they've taught me so much! Your classes have inspired me when prescribing exercises to patients; ballet requires more control over body movement than any other art form or sport! Unfortunately I was only able to do ballet for about two years before my teacher quit and there were no other classes that I could make it to - I miss it terribly, but hope to go back to it as an adult soon!

I never did ballet. I just watched this video out of curiosity since i have a child in pre ballet (I enrolled her because I noticed she liked to twirl around to music). Believe me when I say your advice is applicable and helpful for all careers outside of ballet! Even if my child never pursued a professional dance career, I feel the things she would learn in ballet lessons will serve her well in her life.

I'm not a dancer, but I like watching your videos because they give me great insight about the ballet world and what goes behind a performance. I have a huge respect towards dancers!

Katie, my favorite thing about your videos is that I actually find myself applying your advice to my own studies (self-motivation, dealing with criticism, efficiency etc.), and I'm a Classics major (Latin and ancient Greek!) - nothing in the world to do with ballet, except that I love it and enjoy learning about it. :D

I'm a professional actor and it's amazing how many of these TRUTHS are the same on this side of the entertainment business as well!

I started dance at 16, I’m now a sophomore in college and fully realizing it’s my passion and I can’t live without it. I am not looking to be a professional dancer but I am looking to complete a masters in dance to teach!
