Показать описание
You have created a file containing sheet metal bodies. You realize you need to convert these bodies into components but when you select the Create Components from Bodies command, you quickly find out this is not possible with sheet metal bodies. You do not have to start over. In this video I will show you a workaround process that will save you time.

sometimes the lack of logic in Fusion is truly amazing. Thanks for the solution John

Thank you so much Mr. Hackney. This was a TOTALLY unexpected solution. The inability to duplicate sheetmetal bodies in F-360 is an issue I run up against frequently. Now I have a tool to address the shortcoming. Also, even though you can always replay the video, kudos to you for solving it 2x to drive the point home. That was surprisingly effective for allowing me to get it. Thanks again!!

I already commented on this video earlier, but this video has saved me more grief than any single sheet metal video I have ever seen. I dont have to use it often so I have to return and watch it again!

This is exactly what I needed! Thank you!! Solid-> Create Boundary Fill who would have thought?? I feel like any sane dev would have put this as a tool in the Sheet Metal tab. But what do I know...

Great video. How could someone possible just know this Without videos like this? Most people would be at a loss. Fusion 360 seems to just be contrary in everything they do for the purpose of unlearning Solidworks techniques so it's more difficult to go back to. The component/ body function seems over complicated and I won't even get started on the joints vs mates in assemblies debate.

Just an August 2024 update: The command name is now shortened to just "Boundary Fill", not "Create Boundary Fill". Thanks again to John for sharing this hidden workaround.
