-I think that this is best DAC that u can buy for the money,i payed for it 90euroes
-U can use it as a DAC or as a usb to digital out transfer to another DAC [Like my yamaha's inbuilt DAC]

If you connect it to your computer and use the optical toslink output to your amp, are you able to control the volume using your computer keyboard?
