How to reset (recalibrate) the hands on a chronograph watch - Watch and Learn #30

Показать описание
In today's episode of Watch and Learn, we will show you how to reset (or re-calibrate) the hands of your quartz chronograph watch. Many times, either after changing the battery, or in transit, the hands do not go back to their proper "zero" positions. Most chronograph movements have a method you can use to put the hands back in their proper positions.

Save yourself some frustration and possibly a trip to the jewelry store by watching this quick video.

Literally, absolutely literally, anytime I have a weird issue with my watches, I get thrown back to Marc’s videos and I love that you made a video for everything lol

That’s it. I finally searched for it. Came across this video. Tried the first method and it worked. At least 4 years of just sitting on a non zero set subdials and being slightly annoyed, I fixed and all thanks to you.

Can't thank you enough!!! Struggled with zeroing in my Citizen Eco-drive and had looked everywhere to try to figure it out. Came across your video and literally seconds later it was fixed. Thank you

This video saved my sense of security. The hands on my Swiss movements were out of whack and I thought I had to take the movement out and take the crystal off, all kinds of shit. This is the best video I've ever found on YouTube. Life saving.

Although late to the game, just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to you Marc for posting this informative video. You've helped me rescue a misaligned dive watch & consequently earned yourself a new subscriber + future customer. Keep up the great work & vids you do with TGV! Cheers mate! 🍻🍺🍺🥂🍷🍷

Thanks a bunch! I was stressing about it for hours, not knowing how to move it back to 0. Watching this in 2023 - still relevant.

Why is there 142 Thumbs Down I don't understand it this video has saved me a fortune I was quoted £435 for a capacitor replacement in my Seiko Solar v175 replace the battery myself £12 then it needed adjusting took the Watch into a repair shop and he said it would cost £ £100 because the Watch needed stripping down came onto this website which I have now subscribe to followed the instructions now the watch is working perfectly fine this man does not have to give these trade secrets away but he does if I lived in America this is the only man I would do business with

Instructions start at 2:47, if you're already familiar with the layout of a chronograph watch. Besides that, the information is good and helped me get mine fixed. Thanks!

Hi Mark, I want to thank you so much for this video. I took my Pulsar chronograph to a "watch shop" for a new battery. When I got it back the hands were all over the place and he'd no idea what to do about it! Some watch shop, eh? Can't thank you enough.

Spent 3 years thinking about should I go to a jeweler to get the second hand on my Fossil Arkitekt fixed. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Liked and subbed.

THANK YOU!!! I brought my Seiko that I've had for at least 10 years to 2 different watch repair shops in Boston and they told me the "motherboard" needed to be repaired to reset the minute sub-dial. Easily fixed after watching this.
