nice breakdowns, sounds like the resonator and any combo gets that deeper tone without going to unequal length destruction. Appreciate the effort to put this up.

But we’re these sound clips with the j pipe you have on? Assuming it’s the ets one

I have the ETS muffled axle back and except for it being really loud at start-up I think it's perfect.
What I also did was put as much Dyna-Mat down in the trunk area as I could. Especially in the empty spare tire well. It's like a drum in there and the rest of the trunk flooring is floppy like a cookie sheet. That's where a lot of any drone comes from IMO.

So I am running a no muffler axle back with stock mid pipe and a welded in Paradox muffler in the mid pipe. It sounds awesome.

I love the resonated muffler, subtle and tough love the purr

I have the muffled axel back, the drone is terrible but with the mid pipe and resonator it should make it disappear

Thank you so much for all of these comparisons. GOAT.

Wow! Great info man. Why does your stock midpipe not have that boxy resonator like mine? I'm listening on a laptop but as far as deep tone the resonated no muffler sounded the meanest.

Difference between 3in Non Res midpipe, vs Stock Non Res??? With Mufflers. Will the wider piping tone it down, a smidge from Stock?

So this car was not stock exhaust forward of the pieces you are swapping out? Sounds like from comments and details in the video, you have a j pipe and have deleted the stock resonator in the intermediate pipe?

lots of 'drone' from the drone. I dislike the twin tip design of the wrx. Yes, on certain cars, twin tips signified a higher performance car, but here (both on the VA and VB), the twin tips just get in the way. On the axle back, as well as the mufflers, I would much rather see one 4"-4.5" tip (round or oval) for the ultimate straight shot (no pesky "Y"-split for the tips . Yes, the exhaust cutout in the valance is rectangular and "fits/accommodates" two round tips, but this car doesn't need twin tips. Also, adding twin tips means more cutting/weldind/fabrication whereas single tips require less of that.

Would your preferences be different had you kept the stock downpipe and resonator? Im looking at the quad tip options. I heard the resonated no muffler with stock downpipe on another channel and it did not sound good to me, but different recording equipment so I cant really compare. In your video it sounded great, as well as the straight pipe. Also I'm in ca :(

I make my own turbo whistle glass pack mufflers 316L stainless. 4 inch pipe is nowhere to be found... tin smith

Do you think running the stock mid pipe with the mufflers would be okay? I eventually want to get the resonator but am gonna do 1 piece at a time.

Or should I do stock mufflers with the resonator?

What bout uel h headers ?? AND does uel’s need to be re-tuned

It looks like you're running an aftermarket J-Pipe on the car - Is this correct? Ive been looking for clips of the ETS muffled and resonated system on a stock J-Pipe with no luck.

This was great!

Wanted to ask a little bit more about scenario, too, resonator and mufflers.

This is mostly a daily for me, and stock so far. If I went with scenario too, is it truly louder than stock or just a better sound?

It’s hard to compare to from videos, but how does it sound at startup compared to the stock drone, and how does it sound at high speeds versus stock?

I just can’t really decide if I want to keep it stock or go with something like this option

Did you guys ever do the install video for PRL big turbo kit on 10th Gen civic? If so can you please drop a link?

Now can you do it with the unequal length headers 😂

That was a lot of work. Did you deploy a drone?
