I still don't understand why people are giving up their STIs for the 22 WRX. That STI used is worth more than a new WRX. And it looks presentable from factory.

Not even remotely surprised tbh, I've seen some 22's put down 260whp+ on factory tune. People shouldn't be salty about the new wrxs putting more power down, if they weren't then subaru wouldn't be improving which would be counter productive.

These 22's are impressive. So many haters it's funny guy remember when we see each other we do the subie wave. Anyways in our local subie club we have a bone stock 22wrx and 2021 sti and they raced from a dig and the sti won by 3 cars. From a 50mph roll on the highway the sti barely won. Both guys know how to drive and both had ca91 octane with 1 gallon of e85 mixed in

I was thinking about getting the new wrx but I love my 2019 sti limited plus they now stopped making them so I will keep it and get the wrx later down the road but the body is nasty looking I hate but the low rpm get up is good from what I have seen

Faster, and only 12-12.5 PSI. Bump that to 19-20 and it's going to feel like a whole new car. Not sure what this little turbo is rated for but that feels like a safe range.

Anyone else get the feeling they under-tuned it purely for EPA ratings ?

Flatiron tuners just did a dyno test with mild tuning. The 22 WRX FA24 makes much more power than the STI with stage 3 tune and bolt ons.

As a 2020 sti owner，I do drive a 2022 wrx，to be honest the second gear feel as fast as STI，but after 70mph go 3 and 4，sti is much faster，2019+ sti do faster than previous gen，and this 18 sti limited is heavy AF😅

Honestly, the black plastic is growing on me. It really helps protect the body from any worse scrapes from small rocks/pebbles when doing some fun rally pulls. If you don’t like the plastics on the fenders, just pop them off and order some aftermarket OEM fenders. They fit pretty well, and really easy to install.

Love the 22 and love the ej but u can have the same subie rumble even in the 22 wit uel headers, only prob I have wit is the plastic fender flares but u can paint over them n they look insane

I've owned 2019 STI & 2021 STI they are not fast or good at roll racing. they are track cars & winter dd's.
