Two tips for bucket toilets. Put it in a milk crate to avoid tipping disaster. A urine hat like the ones placed on a toilet in the hospital to measure pee output to make an inexpensive urine diverter. It has a built in spout and I use a fabric softener bottle to collect for later disposal. I’ll check out the horse pellets.
I have a Promaster so don’t have such a space issue. Good info and no nonsense presentation. I’ll suscribe.

I tried many of these and found the most comfortable and convenient is a well-made bedpan. Can actually place it on any surface or seat and sit normally on it. I line it with a plastic bag and place a puppy pad or bed pan absorbent liner in that with a little cat litter. The edges of the bag come up and over the actual bedpan seat which makes it perfect for closing up if you are not going to dispose of it right away. If you use deeper kitty litter you can scoop clean it out in between changes. Some bedpans come with a small lid that you can place over the opening as well.

I can't believe I've watched dozens of videos on creating a DIY toilet option, over several years, and NEVER run across the horse bedding pellets option!!! Brilliant! Thanks for that valuable tip! Thx, too, for showing the multiple containers you tried. Very helpful info. 👍 ☮

I realize it's for Nomads, but for many people traveling with loved ones have had to use forms of these for health issues.!!! This has given me even more ammunition to deal with the problem.

I've watched a gazillion videos since I got laid off last April and HONESTLY this is the best one on this topic! I had never heard of the horse pellets but for sure will follow your advice once I embark on my tiny-home-on-wheels life. Thank you so much for sharing!

The luggable loo would be my choice because you can turn it into an extra seat when not using it 😉

During covid, toileting was.such a nightmare. Traveling was not such an issue, it was that all the major restaurants closed the dining room.and toilets. I also do photography miles from a toilet and as I struggle is real. Thanks for the video.

This is so funny that I’ve gone through (planning stages) some of those options you mention here. The 5 gal bucket, the commode toilet seat and of course the shovel. Thank you for the toilet talk....🤣🤣🤣

I've found that a brand of cat litter called 'Worlds Best Cat Litter' works perfectly. It's all natural, made from corn, and a bit on the pricey side for cat litter ($15 a bag), but is well worth it. No smells at all and no need to separate. I used it for myself and cat. There was never any evidence of a feline (or me :) living in the camper.

Go in an Amazon box and leave it on the front seat with the window down. It will be gone in no time.

Thanks! My friend has lived in small buses for 50 years he uses peat moss and powdered lime stone in a five gallon bucket. It keeps smell down for days, then he adds it to compost or spreads in in the forest or garden. He used to bring his 5 galling bucket to work everyday too. He often said “ humans shouldn’t poop in their water.” Nice selection on options in your great Vlogs. Thanks again

I use the horse pine pellets in my four cat litter boxes and it’s cheap and easy. feces odor is detectable but I never smell the urine, which is what I detest. I just scoop the poop, then dump the pine dust from the urine either under bushes or even in biodegradable bags. Many of us older folks can’t sit on those very short products as it’s way too hard to get up!

I watched this video months ago and decided to try it. I just decided to popped back over to comment on the fact that we’ve been using this method for many months now and it is the best way to use a toilet in a van or camper. My husband was skeptical so we tested it in our house bathroom for a week and knew we would always use this method. The size or the pot/bucket is all a personal preference for your space and size, but the pellets are a game changer. Thx for sharing.

Go to Dollar tree and get a rubber noodle for the commode toilet seat, it's comfortable. Good idea for space saver. It comes in all colors.

Thank you so much for sharing honestly. As a woman, I camp out of my SUV and I have tried most of what you shared without success because there is just not enough room! I have discovered that if you use a larger BEDPAN placed on the car seat with a plastic bag covering the bedpan and a cut up puppy pad/pads inside you will have an excellent camp toilet! The only drawback is that it can’t handle more than 2-3 times. (I also put a puppy pad over the car seat and under the bedpan.)

I've wondered about horse pellets or cedar shavings. Thanks for sharing your personal experience! You have to be a little graphic to cover the gory details, but that's what people need!

Great ideas. I have to say Ive tried many solutions but the best one for cars and suvs I've found is a good bedpan with a lid and with a compost bag and puppy liner with pellets. Very minimalist and efficient. I've found In a car or suv there's little to no room for the others without using an outside pop up tent.
