What’s frightening is that, the war is still going on outside but your trapped inside with something much worse.

You are one soldier dealing with stuff born from nightmares inside an underground bunker and there is a literally war going on right above you

Evere since SOMA, I have the upmost respect for Frictional games. That said; its about damn time for a graphical facelift.

Don't think the monsters linked to the past of the bunker, lambert (aka the one who saves you from the gas and you attempt to save him while he's injured) turned into the monster because of some funny water henri made him drink

What is scarier that something like that could be real but maybe Henri got executed and the tale won’t continue and there is an active war up there so it’s more terrifying

SPOILERS AHEAD!!

This is the lore so far: Lambert fell into a hole that he couldn’t escape, which was filled with water, and with the scarcity of it in a trench, he took a drink. This water was corrupted with Vitae, something formed by extreme agony and suffering. He drank so much in fact, that when he was pulled up, even with a broken leg, he managed to carry an injured Henri (protagonist) back to the bunker. When there, he slowly started to transform into the hellish creature we see, and then killed everyone in the bunker. (Not Henri).
Side note: when you find the rabbit and this it at the monster, he will pick it up and run away for a bit. This is because that was his daughters stuffed animal, and that managed to release just enough humanity for him to run, if only for a bit. Its as sad as it is scary, because even if Henri escapes the hell of the bunker, he cannot escape the hell of the war.

This was one of the first games in a while that elicited the same feeling of terror, snd sense of being hunted similar to Alien: Isolation

I hope this one isn’t riddled with flash backs every .026 seconds like Rebirth was. Oh and aimlessly wandering around in the dark like you’re spending the night at someone’s house and have to get up and use the bathroom.

I really wish video games had better advertising lmao. I didn't even know until right now that this game was even a thing. Hopefully this one is better than rebirth, I didn't care for that one at all
