Today I return to The Udder Farm Shop, a place I enjoyed a great breakfast in the summer.

I'm here for a Sunday Roast, and they have a 3 meat special at £23!

Is this overpriced, or will it prove good value?

The sheer amount on the plate amazed me, we've had alot of Sunday roasts down the years here and there in different places and usually its half of what you guys got for similar prices. Fair play to the Udder Farm Shop!!

I used to hate Brussel Sprouts, until I learned my Mother was cooking them to within an inch of their life. When I left home I found out how to par boil them and cook them gently in butter, now they're like little flavour bombs.

Hi Greeno, loving the videos as always. You and Gary provide easy watching reviews we relax with before going to bed. The format is great and detailed enough to tell us what is good and what’s not. More of the same in 2025 if you would be so kind.
If you ever get to Basingstoke you might want to try the Beach Arms on Andover Road, they do a lovely carvery for less than £10 for a standard plate. We went just after Christmas, the food was lovely. It’s not Michelin star but if you like good food and want to leave happy it’s worth it.

What an excellent family outing, and what a find of a restaurant - good job on having both at once!
My favorite way to do sprouts is to start with fresh raw ones and slice them thinly so they fall into those shreds. Then I saute them in a mix of butter and olive oil (allows for a longer time at reasonable heat without burning your butter) with salt and pepper. When they've wilted a bit and just cooked through, I hit them with a spritz of lime or lemon juice, and serve. They're like a whole different plant to a soggy, overcooked, slightly bitter round bit of stodge (which is my personal experience of the frozen sprouts my mom - usually an excellent cook - sometimes used).
So, I like sprouts, with reservations. Ive had good roasted ones, too. Sometimes.

Well, that is cracking value for what looks like a quality roast. Crunchy roasters have to be a highlight for me.

Great work on treating the family to a great meal. This is a great review, Greeno & the additional cauliflower cheese looked great, too.

Overall... great, great, great. This restaurant gets my green light, that's for sure.

I am glad you made it back before spring as I had asked you to review a lunch menu after your breakfast visit. It was a sizeable plate of food you had which had me wishing I lived closer. Many thanks Greeno!

I love apple and pear juice, buy at least four cartons a week. The roast looked very appetising, I'm not sure I could eat it though that portion was much too big for me. It looks a very nice place to visit, especially the shop which looked well-stocked. Lovely that your family accompanied you on your trip, Mrs. Greeno is very good with the camera. A really enjoyable review, I was happily eating along with you. All my favourite suspects on a roast dinner. I will say that I really like brussels sprouts just cooked in bacon water. Lovely to see you all as a family enjoying good food and each other.

Great review lovely restaurant.
When you consider the produce is fresh, using the produce they sell in the farmshop its great.
So nice to see the family eating together and no oh my kids or wife won't eat etc.
That is so good that they try all sorts of food ❤❤❤❤.
Restaurant looked both family friendly and relaxed.
Price for 4 of you reasonable.
Greeno thats why i love your channel and Gary Eats you know your food you know ingredients etc it's so refreshing to hear.

That looked like a cracking good meal. Lots of everything and well cooked. As to the price, 130 gbp for four is not really expensive, especially when you include the dessert. Excellent review, and now my stomach is rumbling for food. ❤

Hey, Greeno, Best wishes for a great New Year 2025 . The Udder Farm Shop serves up a lot of food on your plate. The price is a bit high, but what you get . I guess it's worth it.
Did your family clean their plates. That sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Wow ! Be Well. All the best. Jim and Harriet
