I was under the impression the color change in front of the lab was meant to imply the shadow of the...lab from how big it is

My favorite thing in Undertale fan games is when they "embrace" the discoloration by fixing the original mistake but intentionally miscoloring something else in its place.

Honestly I barely noticed a difference until the last time you showed the lab entrance and even then it seemed barely a problem

When you first showed the lab I couldn’t tell what you were talking about but when you showed it at the end it clicked and I was like “OH my god”

Simply at the lab entrance since the lab is so big it's technically the shadow

In the junkyard in water fall at the save point if you look at one of the walls on the too left corners there's a miss coloured square
