The heroes of today do not wear capes, masks or mechanized suits. Our heroes silently serve, provide aid around the world and defend the freedom and quality of life that all of us enjoy. They are proud of their service and rarely ask for anything in return. They walk among us, often carrying the scars of their sacrifice.

Every since I was young I always wanted to be a hero but people close to me and people that aren't told me that I cant cuz it is impossible. One day i will help others in need and stop all that is wrong that goes on in our streets. Just you wait world, I will be a hero one day. Not just to prove them wrong but to show that hero come in all shapes and sizes and that dreams can come true

Helping others is what makes me a hero, changing others give them positive feed and what I mean by them is my friends and the people around me it's not about the Fame it's about the person who wants to help others be there for them. Because If I was not here today who else would be there to help?

It's a Person with Any Courage, Nobility and Strength
It's also a Main-Character in a Fictional Story

Otherwise, a "Hero" is also a Torpedo, Submarine and a Sandwich

this video seems to be less "What is a hero" and more "Anyone who joins the military is a hero" I don't like how they are using this hero ideology to appeal to people and encourage them to enlist when most people who enlist are either in it for the money, have no other options, or want some kind of action, not because they actually want to serve there country (and yes I am aware that there are people out there who genuinely want to serve there country and they are patriots for that reason but I'm talking about the 50-75% of the other people who enlist)

Heroes do jobs that need to be done but few would dare to do. Astronauts are highly competent but they are not heroes as there would be no shortage of volunteers even if told the survival chance was 50/50. SOE operatives working out of uniform behind enemy lines in WW2 were definitely heroic as are undercover cops infiltrating the most dangerous gangs.
