I just want to say, Fr. Dominic, that it was mainly you here at the Thomistic Institute who really encouraged me to follow the Thomistic way of evangelization, and eventually, to found my own academy to sow the Truth. The academy has barely taken off yet, but I will continue to labor for this effort. I also plan to become a tertiary because of your influence!

Will The Thomistic Institute ever do apologetics?

#AskAFriar But what about Baptism "in the Name of Jesus"? Matthew is the one place where the Trinitarian formula is used, elsewhere (several places in Acts, and in Romans) the formula used is "In the Name of Jesus".

Is this a different kind of Baptism? Was it also valid? Why was it ever used instead of the Trinitarian version? Why don't we use it any more? Did it cease to be valid at some point?

Thank-you for this complete explanation. ~ My grandson asked to be baptized by his non-Catholic minister. He was baptized in the creek in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but he only dunked him once. Is it valid? Three times into the water is not necessary, is it? Thanks so much. God bless you all. 🙏🏽💙

I’m confused. So why then did the apostles only baptize in the name of Jesus in the book of Acts?

I am a Cradle Catholic, but can only baptize someone in case of emergency. Why is baptism from a protestant person valid? No other sacraments wouldn't be.

This reminds me of that deacon who modified the words of baptism, and one of those he baptized was a priest. Thus, he needed to redo every single sacrament he received.

This is about controlling the masses of people on the surface

The trinity is not biblical. The Godhead is biblical. Colossians 2:9 God is not 3 persons.
God has 3 parts consisting of:
soul, body and Spirit.
We are made in God's image.
1) God is the soul
2) Jesus is the body
3) Spirit is the Holy Spirit/Ruach,
which is the breath of life
breathed into our nostrils to
become a living soul
We each have a soul, body and Spirit/Ruach, yet we are each one individual.

The trinity is no name. Peter taught you to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.
