What I really like about the song itself is that "Martha" isn't rhymed with anything at any point in the song. So you could throw anyone's name in there and keep all the lyrics, and I think subconsciously it helps some of us relate to it a lot more

The worst part of this is that the talking/singing objects don't realize how much they are affecting Martha's sanity, and are just genuinely worried for their friend.

Feels like the main theme to Pixar show/film where Martha used to be a smiley kid, and the protagonist of her own story, with sentient objects always following her around like they're the Brave Little Toaster appliances, but now that she's a grown woman, she's just annoyed with them.
