How To Easily Remove Vinyl Graphics and Stickers from your Car or Truck

I recently started removing graphics from my vehicle and thought I would share the method that worked successfully for me. Total cost for supplies was around $50. 1500 Watt Dual Temperature Heat Gun (572°/1112°) (This will help heat up the vinyl to easily scrape off the graphics with the plastic razor blade).

Rapid Remover (Gets the glue off the car after scraping it off)

Hardline Products Scraperite Orange Plastic Razor Blade with Holder (Safe plastic razor blade that will assist you in removing the graphics)

Alcohol works good to remove the sticky residue from windows. Soak a rag/paper towel and hold it on each letter to let it soak in for 10-15 seconds, then wipe. Worked great for me. Not sure if its safe to use on painted surface though.

Eucalyptus or tea tree oil works really well on the residue too

Methyl Alchohol works good too, especially for pre install prep.

To get the glue off Turtle Wax has a bug and tar remover, it works well and is cheaper, around $5.

Does rapid remover work on the painted surface on the car?

A razor scraper for the glass works much better. Obviously you don't want to use it on anything painted or plastic though.

I'm thinking that you're overheating the vinyl to the point of melting it. Use less heat and PEEL it off, instead.
