Lazarillo del Tormes was a novel in Spanish. As I recall (read it years ago), one of the things that Lazarillo did in his life was guide a blind beggar. This might be the source of the name of the operation to guide him to the ground.

Reminds me of the Fredrick Valentich incident in the Bass Strait in October 1978. Also involved a Cessna being shadowed and approached.
In that case the pilot never returned.

I lived under the final approach to a small airport for 15 years. In those 15 years, I had one UFO sighting that I have yet to make sense of.
I wonder just how often unusual things occur at, and near, small airports.
