I’ve literally been on a weeklong, acoustic blues trip. This couldn’t have came at a better time! Glad to see you guys collaborating together. Two of my favourite YouTube guitar peeps. Bonus Canadian points.

Two of my favorite guitar guys together, the chillest pair on YT. And the licks are really usable.

Love his idea of the call and response. It’s the husbund then the wife correcting him.

great lesson and tips here. Also Instead of that Diminished chord leading up to the D you can also play a C minor 7 and that also sounds really nice. And "feeling" the blues one really useful tip is to understand how shuffle beats work and practice hearing them and getting that rythm in your mind, playing that in time then later you can start to add in 12/8 rhythms and swing rhythms and such, this helps make a blues sound much better. To help I always imagine playing the high hat section of a drum kit, once you get that locked into your mind then playing a blues song or improvising gets much much easier!

Use the "quick change" 12 bar blues format to spice it up a bit here and there. Also, 8 bar blues format. 9th chords. Etc. etc. etc. Use the slide.

Great video!! At about 9:11, that isn't a straight C#m7, is it? It looks kinda like a C#m7b5 to me?

What was that walk up? A7 -> Bm7 -> Cdim(7?) -> C#m7 -> DM7...? Is that right...?
