I can say for a fact that medium large White Sharks dont thrive in waters colder than 12 degrees celcius which is very cold. Humans cant tolerate swimming in colder than 17 degrees celcius for very long without a wetsuit. The most northern shark attack is New Brunswick or Nova Scotia, in 1891 a sailor fell in the water in Halifax harbour and was consumed by a huge White Shark.

On the East coast US. Most northern GW attack is Maine, and to a dog in Nova Scotia. Both fatal.
