Where I used to live we had a bin just for the food waste. They would take it and mix it with stuff from the sewerage plant in town to create a product they used for creating soil, fertiliser and potting mixes.

It really helps cut down the creation of methane in the landfill

I make and like compost but if they digest the waste they can get renewable methane as well.

I'm afraid if plants will get micro plastics in them if they grow from soil with micro plastics but... we all have them in us already but it's good to limit that amount since
