Puppy Robbed Of His Youth As Suffering Becomes All He Knows

Woodstock has been robbed of his innocence as the pain of a deeply embedded collar and widespread infection ravaged his body from head to toe.

Woodstock deserved more than to have his puppyhood stolen from him, and we’re afraid some of his adolescence will also be stolen, given his bad shape. By the time Woodstock was brought into our local shelter, he had a body score of 0.5/5, nerve damage on his back right foot, a fracture to his right front leg, Demodex mange, was severely emaciated, and suffering from an embedded collar wound and gash near his genitals. Needless to say, this poor boy will need A LOT of care to recover from this nightmare.

Over the holiday weekend, Woodstock was monitored closely while placed on medications, food, and fluids with an experienced foster. He is such a loving boy who loves pets and giving kisses, even though he is too weak to do so- he tries!
