Does the uptake of methylene blue indicate gram-positive rods? Can the use of MB be used to characterize the bacterial diversity in the sample, for example to differentiate gram+ from gram- cocci and bacilli? Thx! Oh, isn't the predominant gram+ rod found in aged milk mostly lacto-bacillus?

Why doesnt milk go bad anymore? Im wondering what they are putting in it, after 4 months ive expected it to spoil ive even left it out over night and still it dont stink or thicken, im talking whole milk not 2% arnt they supposed to tell us if they put preserves in it, or at least put it on the labels?
