I saw another short video of an Indian doctor recommending different products for various skin conditions. She recommended ammonium lactate for dark elbow. I ordered the Perrigo brand last week from Amazon.

I have never used a product with such a fast visible difference. It's had significantly reduced all dark spots etc. I occasionally use alburtin (The ordinary) with it

I use lactic acid regularly and it’s one of those habits that I am thankful for keeping my skin beautiful and baby smooth. The other two is staying out of the sun/wearing sunscreen and last but not least salicylic acid. I’ve recently started using The Ordinary’s Resveratrol and Furulic Acid and it does wonders too, but salicylic acid, avoiding sun and lactic acid is what I’ve been doing for centuries and I know for sure that it works!

I also bought me and my dad a very good soap - it’s called Cleanse* and it’s an antibacterial hand wash. It contains lactic acid as its third ingredient (after water and SLS) and besides this, there is about five or six other ingredients like cocamide and betain. No perfume or colourings.

My father LOVES it!! He was like: “what’s that soap you got me? where did you get it? it’s not as drying as other hand soaps!”
And yes, that sums it up pretty good: it’s not as stripping as most other soaps - it makes the hands clean but soft!

* We live in Sweden 🇸🇪 and I think it’s a Swedish brand. But I’m sure there’s something just like this hand wash that is just as good in other countries.
I know of another brand called Lactacyd. That’s also a good soap, for the body and the private areas. It’s also a bit pricey but if you have very sensitive skin it is so worth it!

My skin is too sensitive so I just got raw milk from the farm because milk contains lactic acid and it was so gentle on my skin my skin is so bright even toned now !

I bought a 10% lactic acid serum 2 months ago. It didn't sting or irritate my skin at all, but it caused a lot of tiny bumps on my forehead, which sadly worsened whenever i applied it — i used it once or twice a week because I'm on tretinoin, which surprisingly has never caused any irritation. I'm currently using it to treat my keratosis pilaris and the flaky skin on my body. It works great! Also, i feel like my face just hates AHA in general. Mandelic acid is the only AHA that doesn't cause any problems on my skin. Weirdly, mandelic acid is also the most irritating AHA that i've ever used, but it doesn't break my skin out.

I have KP on my arms and legs and when I use lactic acid my skin gets itchy and red! 😢 I've been using glycolic acid lotion and doesn't irritate my skin. But my skin is still bumpy and red. Just not like rash red like it is when I put lactic acid on it.

Not really a way to identify the source of the ANA'S in the products is there? Could be from a dairy whey or a group of fermented vegetables and legumes.
