Pen Rod Fishing Challenge! Bass Eats Pike??

Fishing with a pen rod that is literally 3 feet long can be challenging, but I caught a ton of bass with a jerkbait. One of the bass that I caught spit up a baby pike that it ate , and ive never seen anything like it. I have a great time filming these challenges!

Right now my fun rod is a Zebco telescoping rod that cost twelve bucks.  The nice thing about is that I can put a decent reel on it.   I keep it in a small backpack, along with a equally small tackle box.  I love fishing with tiny rods and reels, any kind of ultralight tackle.  To me, it's a lot more fun than using rod, reel, and line that lets me reel in anything without giving the fish a chance.   Some massive fish have been caught on ultralight gear.  I haven't tried a pen rod, but I will.  I think I'll get one that has a better reel, though.

Dude those things are fun to fish with. If you get a big bass on a drop shot it's intense haha! I never really threw any hardbaits with it though cause it was super ultra light haha. I bought one of the original pen rods years ago that have nicer reels. They ones I got were either 4'6" or 5'1" and super flimsy so you couldn't even work a jerkbait. The one you got looks more stout.

did u change the fishing line of the reel, the fishing line of my pen rod is weak like ass. can u give me some suggestions for changing other types of stronger lines thks.
