I lost 2 close friends 3yrs ago. One ghosted me, one talked to me about it. And both ways broke my heart. I agree everyone will have different ideas of who you are. Another thing I learned from this experience was that, sometimes people will continue to see you as the version they first knew you as, instead of learning about who you are as you change. And, I rather keep those who still want to be friends with me as I grow and change in life. Because we never stay as one identity and one personality in life, we’re always changing as we learn and experience new things.

Turning 30 tomorrow and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel cancer this past August. I’ve been watching your videos for the last 10 years and your most recent videos have given me so much peace and encouragement that I am still me during this process. The part where you said you lost an important connection and how much it hurts resonated with me so much this year. I’ve been filled with random sadness every time I think about it. I looked back and wonder what I did wrong and maybe there were a lot. I’m not perfect. But like you said, I think it’s important to appreciate what I have and nurture the relationships I have now because they are my support system. As for the lost connection, I can’t change their perceptions of me if they don’t have room for me in their life. Everyone has their reasons for their actions and I just have to respect it and we move on ❤

I used to try soooo hard to make sure everyone saw only the best of me, but realized that what I was putting forward wasn’t really me. I decided I need to be myself and if I don’t click with someone, that isn’t either of our fault, just the way it is.

Your fashion videos were my total aesthetic growing up and your educational videos gave me practical life skills.
