It's time to Quit Quats!

Quats are pesticides - they are often found in disinfecting products. Quats are asthma triggers, allergens, and are linked to other respiratory and reproductive harms. Quats are even suspect in the spread of “super-bugs” that cannot be controlled with antibiotics.

Children are particularly vulnerable to quats - and unfortunately, quats are ending up in our schools, child care facilities and other spaces where children learn and play.

Call us crazy, but it is incredibly backwards and problematic that a product promoted to combat illness is linked to multiple health problems.

Giving up cleaners with quats doesn’t mean having a dirtier school or more sickness in the classroom. There are safer alternatives and best practices to keep our kiddos healthy that do not include exposing them to these toxic chemicals.
