What is Pi? Pi is half the distance around a circle or 3.14 times the radius of a circle

Pi is also a full circle. If you wrap the diameter around a full circle it's the same.

Technically pi is half of a UNIT circle (a circle where the radius is 1). (In value) Not ALL circles.

(Pi is a constant meaning it doesn’t change.)

Oh. Its actually simple. I still won't be able to find it though 😂

Pi is NOT half of a circle. To begin with a circle is a shape so it doesn’t have a length but an area. So you should talk about the length of the circumference or the perimeter of the circle. Pi is the length of a circumference of radius 1/2 or diameter 1. Or half the length of a circumference of radius 1.

if you place four circles of same radius next to eachother so that their diameters form a line (180 degrees) (same diameter and circumference), cut out the circumference of one of them, and place it all over three of the circles diameters, you will see that it covers about all of their diameters, include 0.14 more. So the circumference of a circle, is pi, 3.14, since it can cover 3 times it diameter with an indetermined amount left. Half the circumference, would be half the amount of diameters of the same circle the circumference as a whole could cover (with ~0.14 left). So about 1.5 (one diameter and a radius with a bit left). (1)
Shouldnt we divide 3.14 by 2 as well then? Is pi 3.14/2 too? No.
pi is a constant indeterminate value that mathematicians have used to our advantage to find the area of a circle as we need a specific value to determine the circumference of any circle, it applies to both half of the circumference of a circle as to its radius (1.5, 1 diameter and half ) in terms of DIAMETER, 3.14 three radiuses and a bit left, in terms of RADIUS, and to the circumference as a whole as to its diameter in terms of radius (3.14)(2) {since the diameter is 2 times the radius}, and in terms of diameter 3.14 (3 diameters and a bit left)

π is the circumference of a circle expressed in diameters

It's useful for sharing a pizza between 13 students. You won't be the chief engineer (with a few exceptions, of course.)

In summary pi is only in value half the circumference ONLY for this example.
So pi won’t always be half the circumference and plus it’s not intended to be.

Here’s why (I’m using this sign “*” for multiplication btw):

No, pi isn’t half of a circle it’s the amount of diameters that can fit around the circumference.

The perimeter of a circle is the circumference (the outer circle part) if pi was half the circumference you’d get roughly 6.28 for every circumference question and that’s wrong. Pi being half the circumference ONLY works in value for this example which is a unit circle. Because the second the circle changes pi won’t increase with it it’ll stay 3.14 then it won’t be half anymore.

Circumference: pi*diameter
Or r*2*pi

So here it’d be (using 3.14 for pi) 6.28.
Where pi is conveniently half the VALUE of the circumference. But pi is always 3.14 approximately. So let’s change the circle and use 3.14 again

Diameter:5
Radius:2.5

Circumference: pi * d
Or r*2*pi

Using 3.14 for pi

3.14*5=15.7

Now here pi isn’t half the circumference .

Doesn’t that mean that 1/2 is equal to Pi?
(Just saying)

Its not radiuses radius is already a plural word the singular of radius is actually radii

No, you are wrong. Circumfrence = Pi × Diameter ..not radius.

So, if Radius =1, then diameter would be 2. In that case Circumfrence would be 3.14 x diameter ( which is 2 ) then the final answer would be 6.28
