Elliot follows his Dad to his childhood home, where he still lives with Elliot’s Mom.

From Mr Robot Season 4 Episode 12 "Whoami" Elliot wakes up in an abandoned lot following the explosion at the Washington Township plant, which is no longer there. He discovers the town is a thriving suburbia, where his mother and father, both alive, live. He finds out that his parents never abused him as a child and that Darlene does not exist. He returns to the city, where he encounters Angela's parents, Emily and Phillip (the latter still being in Angela's life), and they reveal to him that Elliot is marrying Angela the following day. He goes to the alternate Elliot's apartment and hacks his computer, discovering a hidden drive of sketches of himself, Darlene, and the rest of fsociety. The alternate Elliot returns home to find the original Elliot at his iMac (as depicted at the end of the previous episode). Initially alarmed, the alternate Elliot explains that the sketches are of a persona he created that would lead an exciting life as a vigilante hacker, the very life the original Elliot lives. They touch, causing another earthquake, which severely injures the alternate Elliot. Alternate Elliot gets a call from Angela; hearing her for the first time since her death, the original Elliot decides that he can have the life he always wanted and kills the alternate Elliot.

Says the one whose prototype in the real world was his harshest critic and the personality he created based on this prototype was even harsher 👏🏼

For me, the image of the real mother was not fully revealed in the series, but most likely it was intended that way. Did she know what her father was doing to Elliot? In the scene where he lies after jumping out of the window, she screams "God says there are no accidents." My feeling from my mother is this: inside she felt what was happening, but she didn't admit it even to herself, she shut herself off even more from Elliot. An illustrative moment when Elliot came to his mother after prison in a nursing home, she did not react to him in any way, because his voice and appearance could evoke memories and guesses, and the window in the room was tightly closed with blinds and a curtain on top, as a denial of what happened in his childhood. I think she felt guilty inside that she COULDN'T LOVE her children and protect Elliot. The record that they found in the mother's belongings after her death suggests that she did not care at all, she herself suffered from the fact that she did not love her children and this was discovered and understood by Elliot and Darlene.
This does not excuse her cruelty, but she was unhappy as well as her children.
