Показать описание
Presenters: Ahmed Hosni And Mackenzie Hogan
Collegiate Recovery Communities are designed to support individuals in or seeking recovery on a college campus. Much has been researched and discussed about how to protect an individual’s recovery and create spaces on campus that are recovery friendly. How are we also remembering to support the student needs and experiences in these spaces as well? What intersections are there between student development theory and recovery support practices?
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify best practices in both student development and recovery support services.
2. Contrast student development with recovery supports to identify overlap and synergy.
3. Discuss with participants to identify unique approaches to student development and recovery supports happening across the country.
