His music always gives me the chills (in a good way), I just love how he creates several unique sounds..

me and my mum were such big fans of Somebody that you used to know. She would play it when I was a kid on her laptop. Years later I find that song and the artists and im soo glad to have found it. Somewhat these songs helped my mum become a singing artsist herself!

To eliminate some of the room's natural ambience that the mic would pick up. Reverb is then added to the dry vocal sound so that it can be tweaked later

@igyoung13 acoustic treatment. AKA sound proofing. you get a cleaner sound when you record.

@igyoung13 No they are to keep it as quiet as possible while he is recording because it isn't a proper studio it's just a barn so the noise is still really loud from the passing traffic

Low voice = Peter Gabriel. High voice = Sting.

Love the film clip, so I can imagine the documentary on the making of it would also be quite good :)

Can't wait to see Wally at Laneway!!!

I know, I mean it would be easier to reverb on something than resurfacing the walls and floor.

yeah i think the cylinders help with the acoustics while he is recording

They're acoustic treatment tubes his dad built :) He uses them for vocals, mainly.

the rods add acoustics
make the sound more warm

i think they absorb the sound actually, reducing the echo to make that thud sound

they are acoustic tubes that were built by wally and his father for amplification sound on his recordings... i do my research

no if it is hollow it wouldnt make a really good echo sound then would it? if they wanted to make it echo they would cover all the walls and floor with a hard, solid think as opposed to soft
