Trying Twenty-One Kit Kats from Japan

Today's menu? Lots and lots of Kit Kats from Japan. Now, they may not have ALL been our cup of (Matcha) tea... but the adventure of trying a plethora of Kit Kats is definitely our jam! Twenty-one unique chocolate bars all in one exciting sitting. And we gotta tell ya, there were more than a few surprises in there. Japanese Plumb flavored Kit Kat??!???! Heck yes! Please and thank you. "Bread" Kit Kat?!???! We didn't know we needed this in our life? Matcha Tiramisu... uh, yeah... no. Actually, neither of us went for that one. BUT WHATEVER! This was such a fun way to travel via snack. Thank you again, Allen Bond, for sending this package of sugar and cookie from our Amazon Wish List. When my son went to Japan, he brought me some strawberry Kit Kats, among a few other things. I was more impressed with the fact he bought them for me than I was with the taste of them.

I have been to Japan myself and I have a friend who lives and teaches there. I wonder if he would give these treats to his students as a result of their good behavior? Matcha really is one of those things that people either love or they don’t. I personally really enjoy it but it can have a very strong flavour.

I'd like to say the Japanese are on top of the Game with the Kitkats, but I'm not so sure now, maybe over doing it! Over here I've only seen Regular Milk Chocolate, White and Dark Chocolate ones. Nice Try though. P.S. Tara is looking lovely and I'm digging the Plait Natalie 😁

Sometimes you can find some of those flavors at Japanese markets and grocery stores in California. Years ago, I used to live about 2 blocks from the Japantown in San Jose, and bought Japanese snacks there all the time. Not the salted lychee flavor, though!

I've tried a couple of Japanese Kit-Kats, they came in a random pack from my local ethnic grocer. I remember the blueberry one fondly, and I happen to like the matcha-flavored ones as well. The hot pepper one was awful though.
