Is The Hellriegel 1915 Factory Overpowered? - Battlefield 1 Rank 10 Weapon (BF1 Most Dominant SMG)

Currently the Hellriegel 1915 Factory is by far the most popular and dominant SMG and BF1 assault weapon overall. It accounts for over 50% of the SMG kills in Battlefield 1, as well as being used over 50% of the time where SMGs are concerned.

So today we're asking if it's overpowered? Does extreme popularity mean something is OP? Why is it so popular and does it need to be nerfed? Or do other weapons need to be buffed? We'll cover the pros and cons for these arguments. Whatever the outcome, the Hellriegel 1915 Factory is undoubtedly an effective assault class weapon that can do serious work. So what's your opinion? Is the Hellriegel overpowered? Does Battlefield 1 need a large scale weapon re-balancing patch? The Hellriegel causes questions like this.

It needs nerfed for sure. The game is basically Hellriegel wars right now. If somebody is doing something different, it's because they are trying to get medals or just bored of using the hellriegel.

Great video! I didn't like the hellriegel before because of the 120 total rounds but since it went to 180 rounds i love it! Fast rate of fire, great for flanking overal beast! Keep killing it dude

Everyone is running around with at *least* 50 service stars with this weapon. Then they boast about how great they are until you kill them and they absolutely lose their shit. Honestly if it has *51 percent* of all smg kills that should *CLEARLY* be a sign about how op it is

Either nerf the hellriegel or buff the other lvl 10 weapons, mainly the selbstlader 1906.

The hellriegel is OP for sure mainly due to it's ease of use rather than just looking at the statistics. I think it should be the best gun in the class as it's the level 10 unlock but considering it's for the short range class making the gun skill higher over all ranges would be a welcome nerf in my opinion. It seems, like you said, to have been designed as a decent bridging weapon between the specialist guns like a shotgun or automatico but the stats talk for themselves. 50% of kills with one weapon in the game means it is overpowered, whether you think it's the ease of use or the performance stats are to blame.

They should change the drum magazine to a 20 round stick magazine. I think this would help a lot.

I think other SMG needs a major buff like RibeyRolles. The majority uses it because it has some obvious advantage. Like recoil and huge magazine capacity. Instead of nerfing this gun, maybe we should buff RibeyRolles damage by 5~7. I like Hellrigel, but RibeyRolles is the one that gets my love at the end of the day.

RibeyRolles has nice sound, beautiful design and a bipod. This gun deserves better than that, seriously

Great video. I think it's fairly balanced considering how OP it seems in relation to distance shooting and magazine size. AutomatiKill and Shotguns will usually beat it at close range.

completely overpowered i mean its accurate like a standard issue rifle but with the capacity of a lmg clip.

It's the most popular because it's a good all-round, easy to use weapon with a high ammo capacity, which is what draws most players to use it. Take any other class for example, the medic, it's the same story there with the sweeper and M1916 being most popular. Why? High magazine capacity & quick mag reload compared to other rifles. The sweeper is full-auto, all you have to do is just pull the trigger.

Most used weapons doesn't mean they are the best. Much better alternatives to use in each class, but the general population gravitates towards the easier to use ones.

I have assault rank 20 and I still prefer mp18 over Hellriegel. It a bit sad that most people use only the Hellriegel

It's unfair that if i want to have my support class at rank 10 and get the rank 10 gun from support, it will never match up to the power of the hellriegel. Only if you're very good at assault can you ever get the most overpowered weapon in the damn game. they gotta nerf it.

GGG the Automatico M1918 Storm is the same as hellriegel, but the Automatico M1918 Storm is really great at the hip fire and the hellriegel is more better when aiming.

Give it even a 30 round drum mag and lower the rate of fire slightly. It would still be good.

I think its over use is down to its ease of use; little kick and big mag when you miss a couple shots. And better players will abuse its mag for taking down big numbers of people (MHenry much harder to do that). It can be used in every situation; spray and pray in clearing rooms hip fire, or long range etc. Mag inferior size is a bigger issue on other guns. As people say; most other guns have a weakness. A much longer reload might be a good start !!!

Other OP in my opinion is pistol. Try those stats. I'll always loose a 1v1 close quarters if using a support class LMG hip firing or ADS in close range, even if I get the jump. Even more OP than this is the horseman class, using pistol, healing yourself; did it first time last night (for a medal) and matched my highest kills I've had before.

If you hate rifles killing you I suggest a smle. It's too beautiful if you play it right at any distance and you don't have to deal with spam if you get your shots off first with the damage it deals you force people to take cover

This gun is more overpowered now because if the game's patch it went to a 5 shot kill weapon to 4 shot kill weapon. So to answer your question. Yes, it's a overpowered weapons.

This shouldn't even be a question, it's a fact lol. And then they decided for what ever reason to add another one with a bipod and double the mag size. Lvl10 on any class is way too easy to unlock so that shouldn't be an argument for the power. Specially since it doesn't compare to the other lvl10 guns. It needs to be nerfed, you don't want more guns on the same level as the hellrigel, it will destroy the game.

Good stuff, man, and I left a like!! I have no real opinion on this as I STILL haven't unlocked this one (I'm almost there though, lol). With that being said, I do run into this weapon a lot (the wrong end of it obviously) 😂😂😂😂
