I love this advice. I’ll add that for color grading, one does need darkness, with 6500K daylight behind the monitor or above the keyboard/control surface.

In my personal experience, the command position does not work if your desk setup contains a big wide monitor or there are many devices connected, cables, etc. The best is to bring those cables and big pieces that are over your desk, against a wall, otherwise the first thing that you will see as soon as you open the door y a big wide monitor and some cables, even if they are organized, it’s like seeing the backstage of a theater.
