It’s mind boggling to me that people not only talk themselves out of calling the police, but also go into creepy unfamiliar houses (and almost basements!), or open doors to people they just saw creeping in the backyard?!?!?! Wow 🤦🏻‍♀️ they are lucky to be alive.

See what I don't get with some of these stories are when people say the random stranger told them to go into the basement why wouldn't you leave right then and there? Why bother attempting to? Nothing good comes from basements everyone knows that lol

References aren't just for employers, they are also for employees. Babysitter #1 first mistake was in not calling the Jones to verify they knew "Mike." She would have learned they don't know "Mike" and "Mike" doesn't have a 5 year old son.

All 3 stories were scary, but that last one, omg, I couldn't imagine having only a thin wooden door that's separating us from the stranger, him only being a mere feet away and having the feeling that this stranger is contemplating whether or not to break inside the room were in. Thank God she called the police and they came right away.

Story 2: When you see somebody at your porch, window and backyard, call the police right away. Don’t hesitate!

Story 3: Smartest move ever by going to the twins bedroom hiding, remaining quiet and calling the police.

Why on earth would you open the door at night after seeing a strange man lurking outside the windows and walking around the house??!! I mean come on, how dumb and irresponsible can you be? My first thought would be that it was the man, that babysitter should be very happy he did not force himself in the house as soon as the door opened

So let me get story #2 correct… you see a man walking around the house you’re babysitting at and refuse to call the police and the parents of the children and then you answer the door when there is a knock?! Yeah, I bet the cousin never asked them to babysit again.
