You can read chat and play the game at the same time on one monitor - I'm doing it every stream - just use overlays :P
Using your phone isn't a bad idea but the electricity consumption will get to you

You can read chat and play at the same time if you play with the game windowed. I did that a lot b4 I got my 2nd monitor, just cuz I didn't want to mess up my viewer count by being in Twitch while streaming.

When I started I was using streamlabs OBS which allowed me to have a chat overlay I could turn off and on. Very helpful but streamlabs sucks lol. Idk if OBS has something like it tho so the phone thing sounds like good idea ☺️
