Guys it's not abt cuteness. If the attack does damage, the NPC pulls back in shock. If the skill doesn't do damage, they consider it just a little performance and start clapping. All characters you showed used shield or heal abilities that didn't damage except Diluc and Sigewinne

It’s not cuteness that makes them clap. Attacks that deal damage make npcs scared. You can test that out with Furina. Swap to Ousia (I think the mode with the 3 mobs is Ousia?) and they will also be scared of Furina. Or for example Ayaka. Her sprint makes them clap but her skill makes them scared. The reason for that is because the skill causes damage but the sprint doesn’t cause any damage.
