1 pilot dead, 1 missing in apparent jet collision during training mission

One Air Force pilot was killed and another is missing, after two F-5E fighter jets apparently collided off the coast of Pingtung. The two jets disappeared from radar around 3 p.m. during a training exercise. Both pilots were able to eject from the aircraft before the crash into the sea.
