I worked in a restaurant when i was teenager. The owner weighed out everything after a food delivery and made sure EVERY portion was the same within +/- 1gram. His restaurant outlived him and has been in operation for over 40yrs.

I think exactly the same way. Losing a little bit of money remaking or getting them something new to make someone’s day better and buy yourself a regular customer is a way better use of energy than deflecting or getting upset about it :)

Being a business that does these types of things is actually a good business strategy. People like coming back to and will tell their friends about these types of restaurants.

You understand the job, & customer service! You'll go far! My biggest rule when dealing with customers is being super nice. The madder they get, the nicer you get. Your boss loves you, & the customer looks bad. It doesn't uaually get to that point, bit it happens to most retail workers at aome point. Not to you, but its advixe you may use, pr pass on one day. Yes, if you won't make customers happy, they don't come back, & they speak badly about your establishment. You're the perfect employee, you're willing to learn, & fix mistakes. You'll be the owner one day.
