Really great take for a foreigner.

Now, if you wanna go really traditional you could use game meat(boar bacon, venison, maybe a bison). Fresh mushrooms make sense for hunters since they would be in a forest.

Spices wise juniper berries, marjoram and caraway. Also our prunes are usually smoked.

On your blog recipe, you say "30 g paprika". That's about eight or nine teaspoons, which is a lot different from the 2 teaspoons of paprika in the video. Which did you mean? For what it's worth, I followed the blog recipe, and the 30 g don't seem to be excessive.

Wine makes it actually the fancy version of this dish. The only way it could be better would be if you had access to actual polish Kiełbasa and made the baked version :-)
