I am a beagle owner myself and raising him was the toughest thing as there was hardly any beagle specific information on the internet. So I took it on me and decided to share all the knowledge that I learned the hard way. In my videos, I cover all kinds of topics related specifically to beagles. So make sure to subscribe to our channel as I upload 2 videos every week.

I adopted a girl in June, because females of all breeds of dogs aren't as easily adopted or bought compared to males. And I love Mini. To me, gender doesn't matter. Some differences occur, such as humping, or going in heat, but each dog is different, and I love both genders equally. Thanks for this video!

I love my Zoey. She’s a female Beagle, properly trained and well behaved.
My only prob is that she’s so hyperactive by nature as all beagles are, I wish I had more stamina. 😂😂

I prefer male beagles. We adopt adult beagles and all the males we adopted were laid back lovable dogs. Had two females at different times. They were both independent. One little girl had been a hunter and she was an escape artist. The other my husband adopted while I was out of town. That beagle was highly upset when I came home. She bonded to my husband and just tolerated me.

I miss my Vinicius, my parents got him from the breeder, basically trading him when the one they originally picked tried to escaped the box being a ball of energy, they instead changed him for the one who basically ignored them and was sleeping already. Turned out to be the most chill and kind dog one could ask for, 13 blessed years.

Had two females, MIL had a male. I prefer the females, but that’s just based on the two we’ve had. Our girls had very distinct personalities, but were well trained and knew what acceptable behavior was for us. Pack order also has an impact. Our younger one just went along and acted dumb until her sister passed. She had never been a single in her life. Once she got past the initial sadness she let us know how smart she really was.

Highly depends on nature of individual beagles .. my girl definitely takes tym to learn since she is completely playful and naughty .. she is never scared of any dog of any size she never barks at them but directly jump at the other dog to play .. and also she easily runs away since she is very playful.. so few things differs from a beagle to beagle no matter wat boy or girl

I don’t agree with this AT ALL. I had both female and male beagles in the past and with them was EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE. Female was more aggressive, prone to scape, dominant. The male was more affectionate and docile. I think is a matter of individuality, each beagle has it’s own character not necessarily related with gender.

I have had 2 females and 1 male all of whom were adopted as adults. I found the boy to be much easier going and more affectionate than the girls (especially my older lady) who seemed much more independent spirits. All 3 were lovely and affectionate pups who I would not have traded for the world.

I have both gender, but my beagle boy is more easily to train and more focus, but he is the most scaredy one in almost anything 😅 a total opposite of my female beagles that are super active and a little less focus when it comes to training..

Literally can replace “beagle” with “person” and each description is still true

I disagree strongly with this, I’ve had both male and female, both have been great, with the usual beagle traits. Very intelligent, amazing senses of smell, very affectionate and need interaction and excise. Never had any of our beagles peeing in the corners of our house.

I have to disagree with many of the comments in the video. I have adopted 8 beagles in my lifetime. Males are more affectionate, in my opinion and experience. And the females run the roost! I had one female, in particular, who was a super alpha. Love all beagles, but just had to comment. And both genders are apt to escape if the human slips up. In general, all my beagles (three males, the rest were female) were/are VERY SMART.

I had a male 13” beagle. I dearly miss him. But if males are supposed to be more independent, then mine must have been defective in some way… I’m kidding, obviously. But he did hate being alone. I vividly remember baying and loud whimpering whenever I had to step outside to mow the lawn, or returning home from work. We had to take shifts staying in the house whenever everyone was doing yard work and couldn’t bring him outside that day. And as far as affection, he is still the most affectionate dog I’ve ever known regardless of sex or breed.

My eight-month-old female beagle is all girl. Loveable, yet a total lunatic. I love her so.

So true! My baby girl done her potty trained only with twice of corrections at 7 weeks old. She could do lot of tricks, so obidient and docile. She also so clingy and always wants to snuggling on me, esp. at night. Sadly she easily scares of new situations and its so rare for her to bark (she's so quiet). She also so submissive, she often offers her butt, laying down, exposing her belly to another dog (even i'm already worked to raising her independent and confident by providing lot of mind games). She does have high energy level, but maybe its true about its lower than male Beagle because she often got tired before me and she always having naps for hours after playing or walking 🤣 The good thing is my house never broken even i left her home all alone 😂

My Beagle is a male, and he's the sweetest among all my dogs. He's mischievous, he's energetic, he's easily trained. He's just the most adorable dog I ever met.
